Patchouli is a perennial herb with the shape of a shrub from 30 to 100 cm tall. The old branches are usually purplish-grey round, the young branches are square green with 4 corners. Leaves are rhombic with a tapered tip and symmetrically serrated on both sides at the leaf margin, with a layer of hairs on the leaves.
When rubbing patchouli leaves, we see a characteristic aroma with a slightly bitter, spicy and very strong taste. The leaves and branches of the patchouli plant are often used medicinally and extract essential oils.
The patchouli is grown at Bioremake’s Cat Tien plantation, an area known for its fertile soil and climate conducive to growing high-quality organic patchouli. The farm’s focus on organic practices ensures that the patchouli produced there meets strict quality standards, contributing to the production of Bioremake’s premium organic patchouli essential oil. The location plays a key role in maintaining the purity and quality of the essential oil, making it a sought-after product in the aromatherapy, skincare and medicine industries.
Patchouli essential oil contains chemical components with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, .. health benefits including:
Not only in the perfumery and cosmetics industry; Medical and medicinal experts also appreciate patchouli essential oil very highly because of the great values it brings.
An authentic and truly fine Patchouli oil has a rich and deeply mysterious fragrance that may not be appreciated by many who claim that they “do not like” its scent. Frankly, it is best to approach the aroma of Patchouli in diluted form, on a scent strip, or combined with other essential oils (especially florals), rather than at full strength or directly from the bottle. Keep in mind that when first distilled, Patchouli has a pungency that can be quite pronounced, however a good quality Patchouli oil mellows with age and, when properly stored for a prolonged period, deepens, becomes rich and alluring, developing long-lasting sultry effects – “that full, rich, and almost fruity note for which the best grades of patchouli oil are renowned and so highly esteemed by expert perfumers“.
Prestige and Quality is our highest aim. Therefore, we did not hesitate to choose and plant the patchouli material areas that are most suitable for the soil and microclimate to extract the purest organic Patchouli essential oil to the highest standard.
